Dr. Jan’s approach to alternative medicine considers the pets’ mind, body, and spirit, prescribing treatment in the context of their surroundings, their diet and lifestyle. An integrated/holistic/alternative approach attempts to cover the myriad of nuances involved with wellness. Stress reduction through the use of Acupuncture has a ripple effect on all living organisms.
Traditional Veterinary medicine is employed where alternatives do not exist.

Acupunture and Elctrostimulation– Dr Jan uses acupuncture for painful conditions, especially arthritis in the elderly patient. Acupuncture is used in conjunction with Laser Therapy and electrostimulation, as part of her Integrated Pain Management Treatment Protocol. Acupuncture is thought to stimulate the body’s built in healing processes which then stimulate the body to heal itself. Acupuncture stimulates the flow of energy forces that then nourishes the tissues, stimulate blood flow, and subsequent repair. It can be used both as a preventative, and as a treatment for many of the conditions that affect our pets.
